Nappy DJ Needles is one the most influential soldiers of the Soul Music Movement. As a Producer and DJ with an immense music collection he is able to play music from various genres while Hip Hop, Disco, Future Soul, Rare Groove Soul, and Afrobeat are his staples. With home base being St. Louis he has been integral in the city’s music scene delivering his own signature style to crowds far and wide. Needles appeals to a diverse group of music lovers and often refers to his style as polyrhythmic; many different styles as one fresh sound.

The 10-time St. Louis RFT Music Award winner for Best DJ is a highly respected figure in the St. Louis scene continuing to expose audiences to vintage classics as well as new creative music. He has created such concept parties such as “That Purple Stuff” which is a Prince Tribute Party. He also serves as a resident DJ of a few majorly successful events such as “Night Chaser” playing Underground Disco and Rare Grooves and “Motown on Mondays” playing classic Soul. He has toured nationally with Hawthorne Headhunters (Black Spade and Coultrain) and is also the creator of brands All Props Deserved, The Soulition, and Ghettoblastic.
